Be inspired by the modern Winter Garden, Europe's largest temperate greenhouse, set in the Heart of Sheffield City Centre or become amazed by the £15million restoration project at the Grade 1 listed Wentworth Castle Gardens in Barnsley. All the gardens in South Yorkshire offer a magnificent array of plants and some magnificent displays including National Collections for Yuccas, Rhododendrons and Hollies as well as a wide range of events and exhibitions to make your visits as lively as possible.

Christmas is Coming......

Enjoy Christmas at the Castle - Saturday 15 November to Wednesday 24th December.  Enjoy festive fun and a walk through a Wentworth Wonderland.  Check out details of the festive activites on our events pages.

Or how about picking up those early Christmas presents at Wentworth Woodhouse's Victorian Market on 4th December.  The Coffee Shop will also be open all evening, so why not come along and spend a relaxed evening of Christmas shopping.  Please note that Father Christmas is expected but please check the venue for details.

Enjoy a Real Magical Christmas at the Sheffield Botanical Gardens on 13th and 14th December when the gardens are transformed to a magical place.

2008 Exhibitions

The Gardens of South Yorkshire have just had a fantastic week at the Harrogate Flower Show.  "We were inundated with visitors to the stand and had to order more leaflets.  The interest in the gardens was phenomenal and we will be drawing the prize draw in the next couple of weeks."  Make sure you visit us at RHS Tatton in July.
